US Sailing Headquarters is moving to a new location

We are excited to announce that US Sailing will relocate its headquarters on September 15, 2017 to the campus of Roger Williams University (RWU) in Bristol, Rhode Island.

The new office space provides us with the opportunity to drive innovation and creativity in our core areas of focus – access, education and competitive excellence. US Sailing will have access to a state-of-the-art sailing center, modern classrooms and meeting spaces, and additional online learning capabilities. The office is designed to support our new staff structure and provides a collaborative environment for improved efficiency, communication and member services.

This move marks the culmination of a four-year project involving state officials, University leaders and partners, the US Sailing Board of Directors, staff and volunteers. It has been a pleasure for our team at US Sailing to work closely with our friends at RWU as we developed the plan and design for our new home, located just seven miles north of our current location in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. We thank the University and its leadership for welcoming us to their beautiful 140-acre waterfront campus.

We also thank the Hood family for their hospitality and support over the past 20 years as our organization grew and evolved in Portsmouth.

We will be welcoming visitors to the new office in the fall of 2017 and hope to see you then!

Sincerely,

Jack Gierhart
CEO of US Sailing
